R & W Equipment Co. was formed on February 1, 1989 at 35 East Willow Street in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. R & W purchased what was formerly Paul E. Shovers Inc. (formed in 1948) and continued to operate at 35 East Willow Street until June 30th, 2003 when it was moved to 2510 Ritner Hwy Carlisle our current location.
When we began, we were 6 workers
strong and New Holland was our main
equipment line along with several other
manufacturers such as: Lawnboy,
Ingersol, Pequea, McCullough and
short lines from Hamilton Equip.,
Woodhouse and Cummings & Bricker.
Today New Holland is still our Main line of Equipment. Other lines include: Lawnboy, Hustler Turf Equipment, Husqvarna, Meyer, Pequea and short lines from Cummings and Bricker, Hamilton and Woodhouse. We now employ eleven full time workers, two part time workers and have one intern training with us from Cumberland Perry Vo-Tech.
